The waterfall technique is pouring your time, budget, and efforts toward one goal. All in or not in! |
Waterfall Time Management
If you want to give a project a chance for success, you must invest time. You have to focus hard on one big goal and keep concentrating. (You already knew that.)
Waterfall Networking
If you want to build solid relationships with networking, you dump all your time and effort into one group. Volunteer. Join committees. Become a fixture, or better yet, become essential. Only when you have established yourself with time and dedication will you create solid connections and credibility. Like a waterfall, dump your energy into that one pond. If you are trickling into four ponds, you may not even get noticed. (More on Networking)
Waterfall Advertising
When you plan to put dollars toward a channel in advertising, you choose the channel by best return. Unfortunately, you cannot determine how efficient each channel is for you unless you give it a solid try. Try allocating your total budget to your best-performing channel until it makes as big of an impact as you can. By diverting all your advertising water into one pond, you make a bigger splash and have a higher profile. More impressions = more results! Only then, begin pouring additional budget to your second best channel. (More on advertising planning.)
