Refreshing Existing Content

Content, in the form of articles, stories, and discussions on your website, is essential to help search engines match searchers with your site. But, it is no small feat to continually add fresh content. Now and again, refresh existing content and bring it into the spotlight. Put those oldies but goodies back to work for you!

Ideas to make the old new again:

  • Identify your most popular pages and articles. Tweak and update these superstars with new information and visuals. (Keep the same page URL if it receives regular traffic.) Be sure to post about your “new” article.
  • Create complementary content to your most popular pieces.
  • Repurpose old content in new formats: videos, slide shows, infographics, or Facebook live events.
  • Are you feeling ambitious? Turn a series of blog posts into an ebook guide or report that you can offer as a perk or freebie. Read more here.
