5-Minute Marketing: Task #6

Check your reviews on Google, Yelp, Facebook and other places people comment. Did you respond to both positive and negative reviews? With negative reviews especially, respond in an apologetic and helpful way.

To get more positive reviews, share the link to your review form with customers when they are praising your services. You can copy the link and store it in your mobile phone’s notes, then copy/paste it into a text to the customer while you are talking to them. The success rate of getting the review is much higher with this method.

If and when you get a negative review, be sure to apologize and begin the attempt to right the situation in your response. Potential customers do read bad reviews, but your sincere apology and good customer service in your response softens the blow. If you ever get a negative review that is invalid, such as when a complainer wasn’t a customer, you can apply to have the review removed by the platform administration.
